What the hell is Mojo?
I am Scottish, I play folk, trad, bluegrass, and some country Americana music.
I searched wilkipedia for Mojo and never got an answer.
Is it some kind of magic or feeling, or is it a blues thing.

Thank's for all of the replies folks,
I was thinking what I could put in a Scottish Mojo bag.
A dried thistle, dry oatmeal, the words of Auld lang syne, in a tartan mojo bag.

I might take a trip down to the crossroads tonight and buy a Kebab from the devil in the takeaway.
thank's again

I knew of the concept, but not the practice 'til I built my first CBG. And mine came out with some serious mojo, thing plays twice as well as I ever did . . . . —B
I get it when I'm tanked about 4 in the morning in the middle of the woods at a campfire pickin my banjo.
Lose it soon after tho.

my mojo is rising.

now shoot me for quoting jim morrison.
I think that the word gets used in here to describe things that have charm, character,"earthyness" or energy transfered to and from the instrument / builder. CBGs come from a blues background, at least in the USA, so references to magic/hoodoo/voodoo etc. seem appropriate, even if most of us do not actually practice any of these "religions" .
Mojo IS! CHEERS!
Mojo IS! CHEERS!

Hi, You can now replenish your Mojo here
http://www.keepitsweet.co.uk/catalog/advanced_search_result.php?key... They do spearmint

Also Banana, cola orange and strawberry.
I remeber those sweets from years ago, 60's and maybe 70's. That was the last time I had any Mojo.
Now I remember I never lost my mojo I ate it.

Here is a good page that explains the "Blues" language found in songs. Very helpful and informative. Enjoy.

Mojo ... works for most musical instruments.
Mojo ... You know it when you see it.
Mojo ... you usually know it when you get it.
Mojo ... if you can explain it, you ain't got it!
