Hi all!

I'm in the planning stages of a baritone build, probably a fretless around 28", and I will probably use a PAF for the main pup, but might put a piezo in, too. So, my question is, has anyone used a separate output jack for each pup rather than volume or blender pots? I remember back in the 70s and 80s stereo guitars were a big thing but I never played on. Anyhow, as always, all advice appreciated.

There have been many, search Lowebow, it has 2 pup/2 jacks? However, you will need a volume because the magnetic pup will have tons more output than the piezo? FYI the function of a stereo guitar is to use two amps at the same time to get a more unique tone, atomic punk by Van Halen is an example of this?

Thanks for the reply! Yeah, makes sense to put a Volume pot on the PAF. Throughg the years I've ran two channels or two amps quite a bit, but I always split at my pedalboard.

Hi on my tree cone CBG ,i did put two output jacks , to get a stereo effect ,one is a piezo, and the other was a lace pickup, ,you can send out to two amps and use differend effect on every amp to get a more full and archestoral sound ! only volume ,no tone pots, it keeps you busy adjusting all the tone and volume's but once you got that sorted out your good to blast away ! good luck on your endevor !

Hi, I have used this configuration on several guitars. They mainly consisted of the following setup.

Magnetic pickup in the body.
Piezo pickup c/w preamp fitted to the cone.
1 x Volume pot
1 x Tone pot.
1 x blend pot.
1x 3-way switch
1 x switch [push button for mono to stereo control.

I found that having a blend pot allowed adding more bottom end to the
higher tones of the piezo cone pickup. Once a good mix is found the volume of both pickups can be increased from the volume pot. This could be sent to the amps as stereo, or mono to one amp using a Y cord. The tone pot worked as a master for overall tone changes.
