New design. Through neck this time but built the neck up high above the body. This allowed me to use a traditional mandolin bridge that is adjustable. Also needed a bit more length so I bolted on a tail piece. Came out good and is holding together mush better than the last one.

That's a good looking mandolin. I often use Aquila Nylgut strings on my CB mandos because they don't put as much tension on the instrument and I like the softer tone that they produce. Yours looks like it's gotta sound good!

I really want to get my hands on a real mandolin to see how they are built. Looking at pictures they don't they could handled the tension if those strings.

Nice looking build. Thanks for posting!! I have built 1 Resonator CB Mandolin so far and it turned out great (after lots of rework, adding additional bracing for the bolt on neck). it was lots of work and involved a lot of trial and error but I got lucky and ended up with a very nice sounding stable Mando. It is going to be a Chrictmas present for my Daughter. I would like to try another once I get caught up with the 2 builds I am currently working on for Christmas presents for my sons.

Here are some links to the adjustments/reworking it took to make it work for me. I learned some valuable info for my next attempt at a Mandolin.

Good idea on the bridge.   Looks good.  Hope it plays and sounds just as good.   Mandos are hard builds.  Mine suck.
