but this did hold for a ukulele neck? Did you re enforce the box in any way? Thanks

This is my first Mandolin build, I was worried from the start about the tension of the 8 metal strings being too much fo a bolt on neck.
This is the same method I use to attach my Uke bolt on necks but they only have 4 strings and they are nylon. As it turns out I was right, the neck support was not strong enough and the neck/box joint flexed and would not stay in tune.
