"I drilled holes kind of like Picks drawing, but as close as they could be from each other.  Used bigger bits on the ends.  Then filed the final shape like Rich, but using flat and half round files. "

What do you find most interesting about cigar box guitars? (If you do not enter something meaningful here, your membership may be rejected).
I may have been quiet, but I've not been idle. Three builds since Xmas, steadily ironing out the mistakes. Frets don't fit snugly? Buy a proper fret-slotting saw. Intonation totally rubbish? Lower the nut. Stuck for gift ideas? Build another lap steel (from wood). Really starting to enjoy this game!

Well i use a template draw by my self (paper) put sharkcole on the back and draw over that on the place on the Box, and then drill small holes in the inside of the cutout drawing and use a scrollsaw, and cut away sand them down and if you like for special effect paint the rim gold or any other color of disire!
