Regular magnetic pickups haven't always worked well with acoustic strings. The lower wound strings have weaker output than the higher solid strings. Results are solid strings that are considerably…Continue

"Very good. Lots of pick flap, what are you using? Sounds like the pick is too thin or your holding too close to the top. That's the only negative and it's just a small one. Good song, good singing and good playing."

Thanks, I am mostly just making them for the fun of it and the art part, I don't plan nor want to sell too many as it will get in the way of building guitars, But I do want to make a webpage soon and have the different arts on display, Thanks again and keep in touch!...John

Paul - I definitely want to follow your progress on this new amp circuit you're building.  May be interested in one down the road, but now I've got too many projects going on.  Most are NOT amps, but I've got the guts for a couple of those as well.  Keep me & the nation posted!

Thanks for the info buddy. That's good to know, I'm still new to this building thing. Just learn as I go. It's been fun!!!  I made a banjo neck out of popular, it's about 1 1/2 thick it's ok so far. I do like the red oak and maple. I wonder if red bud would be ok?
