"This is middle Ages it comes closest to the dulcimer, but is played entirely differend as you see on this painting from that period,it comes closest to the Japanese look alike."

Nice! In this project, I placed a pickup inside the can, at the base of the wood, pasting into the can lid. To get better the position of the pickup is on the bridge. The output of the pickup is 4.8k.

I am skinny  Used to be about 30 lbs heaver when working but dont eat like a horse anymore  the painting is of a guy flounder gigging  we used to gig frogs as kids  its a big thing here at the beach i dont see it as much sport the fish dont know what hit em  heave a good one

Thanks for the encouraging comment on AGP#269 Andries, I don't generally build with any idea of creating a particular sound, but I do always trying to build something different by using various scale lengths, tunings, string gauges, pickups and timbers etc., so!, sound wise, whatever happens, happens!!, as far as a particular theme, most of my builds these days are from recycled materials, which I think create their own theme (or look). "Cheers" from a very wet "Sunshine Coast Qld" AGP (aka Alan Payton)
