This could be git related or not. So, what's on your workbench at the moment?

I have 4 scarf joint necks in different stages of work.

A 25" scale pine 5 string neck for a Banjo-Res, A 25" scale Red Oak neck for my 6 string Strat-Res build, A 24 & 1/2" scale Red Oak neck for my 6 string Double Cut Tele build and a 27" scale 6 string Baritone Conversion neck for a Modern Strat body I have.

The nut will be cut to match the string spacing or either a Gibson or Fender. Then the bridge's string spacing will give the taper at that end. This will give me the string spacing needed for electric pickups. Because the strings will be more in the center the neck will be straight on both sides. So it wont be the exact feel of an electric. But a lot more comfortable than just a flat neck.

I've used the Gibson style grooved nuts that attach to the neck at the end of the fretboard(Flat Mount). Then adjust the string groove depths as needed. You can use some sandpaper to shape the top of the nut to match the fretboard shape if you want and it will all look fine.

Working on my little guitars. Just got the CB Gitty templates, so they still got the blue wrapping :P

is that headstock angled the wrong way? or isnt the fretboard glued on?

No it's right. That's the new under the strings slide set up. Give a more uplifting sound. : )

Looking forward to seeing this guitars ILL!

Hahaha! Nah, nothing is glued yet. I just don't want the neck to bend in this humidity so I keep them flat with the headstock upward.  Waiting on a couple finishing pieces from CB Gitty but I've already routed out the cavities. Its gonna have internal effects too. I'll keep yall updated or create a new thread in a week or so.

Thanks Cause the Blue Rat!!

Those look good.

A kerosene heater is what's coming to my work bench soon. With my garage hovering between 30 to 40 degrees (-1.10 to 4.4 c ) it's a bit to cold to do anything. Got to many things I want to play with out there.

I hear you rat, my work space heater just took a dive. I ve got a bunch of stuff for gifting that needs finish too.

Do you guys want some of my 44deg c, its been in the 40's too long now.

Taff

I have one of those electric radiant heaters. It adds some more light, but it draws a lot of amps so you can't use it and a large power tool at the same time. That's a big draw back.

I want a wood burning stove, in the workshop and in the house.

A wood stove would be awesome. But it's something that wont give instant heat. And is equally as slow to shut down. But you can't beat the cost of it's fuel. It's dry heat. Or the smell of wood smoke on a cold winter's day. I grew up with wood heat. Not something I would want to deal with again.  I've fallen in love with my thermostat and central heating.
