I want to build a simple but cool case for one guitar. If you have any photos of cases you've built could you please add them here so I can get some ideas. I know there are some on here already but they don't all come up when I search for "case"

Do a google search for bluesboy jag. His website has tons of pics.
Wow these are thick cases. I bet you could make them out of 1/4" pressboard and be much lighter.

I wouldnt mind trying a case or 2 , except most of the cases I've seen built look like they may be very heavy.
I wonder what types of material would work and still make the case much lighter in weight.
I'm thinking pressboard.

i had a discussion on this about a month ago some good pics came up. One guy built his out of cardboard, and it looked cool. I bet light as well. here's the link to the discussion and pics. http://www.cigarboxnation.com/forum/topics/cigar-box-guitar-cases
I have not built a case yet, but will soon. I got lucky and found a Marting Backpacker guitar gig bag at a local music store for $10.00. It works great!! Will do some looking around for another deal like this..
Thanks Colin, it's a start. I've seen photos of some beauties that had maps and sheet music pasted to the inside as liners but this site is so big now I can't find them.

For me it's all about cardboard, corrugated cardboard and hot glue. You wouldnt want to send this ala the airlines, but it works for me.

How about guitar boxes from GC or a local music store?
Ted crocker also has some cool hard shell cases, sometimes with an amp built in!
Ha great idea thanks.
