Piezo Pickup Issues!!

Not sure if anyone suggested this, but one of my friendly CBNation pals suggested to me that I use a balled up page out of a newspaper inside the box. The last CBG I finished, my 23rd total, played g…

This is one of the most beautiful necks I have seen. It's such an amazing idea to stain the key frets a darker color. I really want to get out there and make my next CBG neck like this one. Very creative!

thanks for the kind words JUJU!! Your stuff is amazing, means a lot to hear it from you. I've been saving this box for a while. Decided I would build myself one for a change!

Does the brass tube give it more of a ring to the sound.

I second Wes' comment, the Padron sound is a hauntingly cool sound, and nice job on the demo. Hey, you know there is a Tarheel CBG group that would welcome neighbors if you're interested. -Dianne

thanks for the comments Travis. the jacks you ask about are stero/mono,and they work great on thick walls. i got 20 for $40 bucks, that will never happen again. i do use screws for fret markers sometimes, we often use what we have and i have alot of them.. as you build more and more you will find what works best for you, so just dig in and make a cool lookin cbg.

Hey Travis, yes the zero fret acts as a nut. Just make the cut for the zero fret and mesure from that cut.

Hey there Travis,

I still have that damn problem, I thought I had bought a bad batch off ebay but bought a few from Guitar Center and what do ya know still have the same problem. I have soldered pots a millian times in the past with guitars and such but for some reason with these dang CBG's Im getting that hum. As long as I dont install a pot and just have a jack and Piezo Im good. Wish I could figure it out.
