Ben, my son and I did a CBB "doodle bass" using weed-whacker line:

We just fiddled with it yesterday (more pix coming soon);
- replaced the low E string with a .105" cord
- added a piezo pic…

Loving the tooth picks mate.
I also enjoy the look of , er, ah, I guess amazement people get that have never seen one before when you show it to them. Especially where I live, it is a real novelty.
Most of all I like the satisfaction I get from building.
Yep, just like chips.... one isn't enough!!!! I really like your build.... lots of very nice features..... You did something pretty unusual (I've only done in once or twice in over 100 builds)... the idea of using a piece of fret wire for the bridge…

Wickersley i know it well !
So your playing the Ebay waiting game ! does my head in waiting all the time , but what else can we do , we just dont smoke Cicars like the guys in the states hence very few boxes and smaller boxes , the cigars we get over here are tiny compared to the Huge american's Cigars , i always buy boxes from the states as i tend to like the larger size box
But as you will no doubt know you can build a guitar from any kind of box , although a cigar box dose look Boss !
