Request accepted Brian, and thanks for the thoughts on the head stocks. I like to go out of bounds and try unique shapes.

I have a question for you...I have a stainless pot lid with a great ring to it. I have removed the knob at the top and there is a hole where the screw went through. The pot lid is right about 6"x3/8" wide. I am contemplating how I might go about using it instead of buying an aluminum cone. I have a box reinforced and ready for action. Can you offer any tips or tricks on how I might go about implementing this pot lid for use as a resonator cone?

i think you're right about the age of the El Roi ,when i first lifted the lid and saw 'Hole in the head' it struck me that i'd seen that in 'the Anglo-Americon bookstore' by our school in the early 60s. we used to buy our comics and horror movie mags there. i've a couple of pics in my page if you fancy a look. really like tthat reso in your prof pic .
