Love the Blues Monster Wichita! Unfortunately my building skills are currently just as good as my playing.  Thanks to all for the help!

That looks great man! Looks really inviting to play.

PapaS-

Here's a pic of that Blues Monster with a reso, piezo in the bridge and a mini-humbucker, tone and volume pots and a three way switch.  I enjoyed making it.  Wish I could play as good as this CBG is....

PapaSimone, that would depend on whether you wanted it in gold or chrome.

Can anyone give me a suggestion on where to find a 3 way switch?  Didn't see it on C.B. Gitty.

I love the 3 way switch idea!  I'm going to do that with my Old Lowe cone reso!

Papa,

I have built reso's with a piezo embedded in the bridge (on top) and under the reso.  if you want the amplified sound to be less "tinny", embedding the piezo in a wooded sandwich works good.   Of course you can also go for a piezo attached to the cone somehow and a wound pup in the neck position.... add a 3way switch and you have a blues monster......

the best,

From what little I remember of German they have specific places for different parts of the sentence while in English we just put it in where it sounds right. Google translates literally worf by word and can come up with some funny looking stuff.

Why would you HAVE to put the pup outside the resonator? License plates have enough iron in them that you can get vibrations off them directly. What would be awesome would be to have TWO pups: one on the plate and the second on the strings.

Here is my question.   I think this pick up would look bad-ass on a birth year license plate git (California 1970).  Does it defeat the purpose of having a magnetic pickup outside of the resonator?  Do you get a cooler sound using piezo pickups on  guitars with resonators?
