This could be git related or not. So, what's on your workbench at the moment?
I have 4 scarf joint necks in different stages of work.
A 25" scale pine 5 string neck for a Banjo-Res, A 25" scale Red Oak neck for my 6 string Strat-Res build, A 24 & 1/2" scale Red Oak neck for my 6 string Double Cut Tele build and a 27" scale 6 string Baritone Conversion neck for a Modern Strat body I have.

Try again - Back in the cbg saddle after receiving a uke neck and fretboard from Santa, Question for you all - what is the order of assembly? The neck is a bit wide and quite rough. Do I make it close to the fretboard size, pre finish completely, or glue and fit, or?
Hi Kigar, here is my procedure that I use mostly.
1 Fit neck temporally to the body ensuring string projection lines up with the bridge
2 Neck is slightly oversize. Place fingerboard on neck an mark its position on the neck face for gluing later
3 I put two very small nails, cut short as possible in the face of the neck and paying attention to your marking on the neck, I push the fingerboard down onto them so that the nails embed into the fingerboard. Don't forget to allow for nut position.
4 I then glue and clamp the two together, the nails stop the fingerboard from sliding out of alignment.
5 I then trim the neck back to the fingerboard, which is the correct size, and shape the neck at the heal and peghead.
There are other methods, but this works for me.

I've been working on the SG.
I filed the ends of the frets, replaced the plastic nut with a Tusq XL nut, switched the bridge for a rollor bridge, replaced the stop tail piece with a Duesenberg Les Trem II tremolo and replaced the pots with CTS pots. Then I took the overwound pickups out and replaced with a set of Seymour Duncan P Rails and a set of their Triple Shot Rings. I had to modify the rings by slotting the mounting holes so the screws would go in their already drilled and tapped holes. It was that or fill in the screw holes, make new ones and try to cover up the unfinished area, so slotting the holes in the rings was an easy choice. Those rings are supposed to make the switching between the pickup choices easier(2 coils in series/2 coils in parallel/P90/Strat type), but they are made a bit flimsy and I'm concerned that the switchpegs will be easily broken off from picking or finger style playing or just plain use. I don't think they are worth the $35 per ring price either, especially if they have to be modified to fit and both rings are the same height - meaning the bridge ring may need a spacer to be made for some applications.
Next move will be stringing it back up, adjusting the trussrod if needed, tuning, Intonation and checking over everything.
Hi Paul, that guitar is coming along nice. That's not good to have issues withe pickups.

Thanks Taff.
I strung it up last night, tuned it and checked the Intonation which was just a bit off, but I need to make a Shim for the neck pocket. The pocket has a degree to it, but not enough because there's a 1/4" between the string and fret wire on the last fret so those frets pull sharp when used.
I took the pickups for a test drive before turning it all off. I've heard complaints about the little rail Strat type coil and all the other positions got good reviews. I couldn't find anything to complain about with either coil alone or either humbucking position. These pickups are a little pricey, but you are getting 3 for the price of one, I wouldn't mind getting more in the future. I'm not sold on the pickup rings yet, that'll take some more time before my mind is made up.
I guess one could get a P90 and mount a Strat pickup or Lipstick tube pickup close to it and wire them both to a few slide or toggle switches to make your own hacked set of PRails. It wouldn't be hard to do on a guitar with a large pickguard.
I’ve been hearing that about rail pickups since they came out Paul & really it’s an operator error caused by faulty soldering/installation, most people forget to change the Pot to 500k on those too? That looks ripe for jamming, turn it up to 11 & enjoy my friend :)
It could be a body material problem too in some cases. This body is very resonant and that may be help for lower output/thin toned pickups.
I'm using the 500k pots which is always great for Humbuckers and P90's, but I have used them with Fender type single coils before with good results when used with Humbuckers like a S/S/H type layout.
The Rails on these sounded just like a Strat on this guitar and using the rails of both positions together was good as was pairing them with P90's in other positions.
Hi Ray, so if it does not work tomorrow do you use that hammer seen in the photo.Haha.
