Outside the box neck reinforcement

Looking for ideas on adding some strength to the neck outside of a finished CBG box.

Have seen pics of heels screwed into the box at an angle to hit supports inside.

Good option?

I would glue a heel on but you can also use a metal brace that cbgitty carries?

I usually add these shaped 1/4'' thick pieces to built boxes and cigar boxes
