Homemade Banjo
Home made plectrum banjo out of a tambourine and stick of wood. Oh - I used fishing line as frets - http://www.gamutmusic.com/tying-lute-frets/
It works really great!. 15lb fishing wire I think I used. I am not sure it was just some stuff my Dad had laying around.

Hello! I used a 10 inch diameter tambourine I found in a used shop. The trick is to not have the support wood but up against the top of the tambourine. So it resonates. It is reasonably loud too. Thanks for the complement

Very nice John, sounds great, well done. What size tambourine did you use?..(sounds a thousand times better than the "cheapy banjo" I bought from ebay!)
