Thanks Richard. That peg is for the short 5th string which usually is considered a drone string. It gives that characteristic 5 string sound.

You continue to play above you very high standards Jim! Other than Bella Fleck, don’t know much about banjo. Sounds great, and I enjoyed the plugged in portion. It had a beautiful smooth ringing delcimer tone, great for Christmas and Winter cheer songs. What is the friction pegs purpose? The video is tops Jim!
