thank you Uncle John, i think so too. the wood was too thick to get the pot shafts through, so i lucked out on some long wood knobs and drilled holes larger than the knobs to recess them to the pot shafts.3 watts, 2-3 watt speakers, sounds like a dream.

unfortunately it is wood. don't get me wrong, I live for wood, but a piece like this in bakelite

would be pretty special

That is gorgeous.   Is it wood or bakelite?  Sure looks like wood.
