Step (10) - ‘The End Product’
AGP #256 - “The Wondai Log”
(3 String Recycled Guitar)
Scale : 673.1mm / 26½ inches
Strings : .044NW / .030NW / .021NW /
Tuning: G / D / g /
This one definitely falls into the “Cheap-Arse” category, the Body and Neck are scavenged/recycled unknown hardwood of some sort, all timber was given a goodly dose of the Blow Torch, and a liberal amount of 50/50 Turps and Linseed oil was then slopped on, the Tailpiece and Output Jack Plate are cut from a sheet old Galvanised Corrugated Roofing Iron, the Machine Heads are Piano Tuners from my trusty old recycled Piano and the side Fret Markers are small Galvanised Fibre Board Nails, a Chinese Ebay 6.3k Single Coil pickup is hardwired to the Jack, it’s a bit on the heavy side at 5kg/11 lbs, but sounds just fine.

"Thanks the anonymous pick" the whole build only cost $16.43Aus, at a weight of 5kg you could probably add a grand for postage :-D

"Thanks Jim Morris", Yep!, I love using recycled/reclaimed bits and pieces on most of my builds these days, very hard to get decent sized cigar boxes at an affordable price in the land down under.

"Thanks James O Lunsford", as an official member of the "Pyromaniacs Club",  along with a few other devotees of flame ie: Uncle John & pick etc, we sometimes can't control the urge to singe things, it was named the "Wondai Log" after the town of Wondai in Qld Australia, where I originally found the log and the corrugated iron used for the tailpiece and output jack plate.
