For a few reasons, in particular a bad experience with a former member, I've had, little, or no input on these pages for quite a while. With the demise of Anonymous Pick I  sort of thought that my attitude was just a bit selfish, whilst I have little real knowledge or experience to help advanced members , I realised that I may be able to assist newcomers in small ways, just as Pick and Ted did to me all those years ago. The loss of Pick hit me particularly hard, I'd only ever "talked" with him…See More

P.S. Darryl hi, by chance I came across the comment you sent on August 5, 2016 to Phil Hale: «Just for a clarification...» See my posting «Ok Scott, let's speak about ethics and respect...» and the discussion that followed from December 31, 2016 in «joes flatpickup». Seems I'm alone to speak clear text with our friend: his best contribution to low impedance pickup design would be to shut up for a month and study a textbook about elementary electrotechnics. Or is this thread kind of electrotechnical kindergarden? Have a good day!

Darryl hi, we have lost a lot of the early discussions because the license plate pickup thread has disappeared. SO SAD, TOTAL DISASTER!

Hey Darryl , you're a  lucky bunch of buggers over there . I only found CW Stoneking by accident last summer while looking at some "Blues" section in HMV Bristol ... which typically touts Joe Bonamassa stuff lol ! I was'nt on line apart from work so took a chance on buying all 3 cd's at once and wasn't let down . I was drawn in partly  by the imagery and the fact the guy has a reclaimed valve amp called Kelvin ;-)

Sadly, today brings the passing of Phil Emmanuel, lesser recognised brother of Tommy, guitar virtuoso's both, although Phil never really played the guitar hero role, he was a stellar performer, and side man par excellence, Vale Phillip.
