Im no expert Jeff but my initial thought is 'no'! Buy / beg / scrounge a secondhand 2 or 3 band pre-amp / EQ from a semi acoustic and stick that in :o)

is it possible to put a tone knob on a piezo pickup? anyone here familiar with this or have a schematic that i would be able to go off of?

Another one:

While scrounging today, I found a thrown-away cordless Microphone in one of the dumpsters. Specifically, a Telex HT-150. Obviously an older model, but one that sold for several hundred bucks originally.
I pulled it apart, and the microphone head looks perfect; just two leads, a hot and a ground.
Thinking this head would work just fine in my under-construction resonator....
I'm gonna pick up some test leads and see if will function through my amp.

Specs say a frequency response of 50-15,000 Hz.

Love that Artec. I really want to do one with some tone control. My does not. Even has a little bit of distortion when cranked. Neat little toy.

I just finished an Artec 2 1/2 watter. Pretty good sound through a 6 1/2 "
speaker. Clean! Really sounds good with a piezo. I did a Minty Amp 1/2 watt amp. also. Good volume , but not so clean-, great if you want some gnarly distortion for slide blues!
