Hello All!

I've posted "One String Escape" my very first diddley bow instrumental solo for your review and comments.

I'd had this instrument for some time but didn't take it seriously--until Shane posted a video of a young man named Bluebeaten Redshaw (who can be seen over at Youtube). This guy was phenomenal on his one-string guitar. So I figured...if he can do it, so can I.

I thank him for giving me a new appreciation for the diddley bow and the talent it takes to play it well.

As for my talent, I'll let you all be the judge. Mind you, this is my first effort. But I enjoyed creating it.

One strings are deceptive, aren't they? So much more fun than you might think. Cool tune!
I thought it was very good, I saved it on my page. You should have done a video of it.
Thank you very much, Nathan! Glad you enjoyed it.

I'm honored, Roger! I plan on making a video as soon as I can.

Kevin , Love the sound also like the kids pic .. Keep it up .. Yea it's amazing what you can do with one string :-)
Great sound you have. I have always thought that the more my fingers outnumber the stings the better chance I have of making something listenable. I think i definitely should make a one stringer.
I liked the drive you got out of the instrument. I like the fact that the kids are fascinated, too.
Thanks, Tres1
