Dulcitar. 24" scale tuned D a d .Maple neck,scarf jointed head with mahogany veneer, basswood fretboard and zero fret. Padron box. Piezo pickup. Amber shellac finish on neck and mahogany bridge.Geared gold tuners and gold frets.

Good point. I though the shellac would harden it up a bit too and keep it from soaking up hand oils and getting dirty , it is pretty soft wood, plus I wanted to give it more aged look, like maybe it had been varnished many times over the centuries.

Ah interesting. Pressed makes it stronger anyway where carving makes it weaker :)

I also tune it Dgd for some variety.

I think the fretboard is actually "pressed" but it looks like it is carved, the grooves of the design are indented, then I put on amber shellac. The fretboard came from Michaels arts and crafts in the "Basswood" bin.
