I started this discussion back in June as " . . . population 1000" when we were knocking up against that milestone, NOW we're closing in on twice that!
...............................................................................................
Where is everybody coming from?

How big will the nation get?

Will the population outstrip our precious natural resources of available cigar boxes?

Will "store-bought" guitars become extinct?

Do you believe in Manifest Destiny?

Yeah, I think we'll probably make that.
Maybe its time someone designed a flag an we had an election....
906 and counting . . . .
Post a status/message on Facebook, MySpace, and Twitter that we are having a "member drive" to reach 1K by Labor day (Sept 8 for those non Americans).
I think 1,000 by Labor Day is too conservative. Once this article in Premier Guitar makes it way around, I believe we're going to see a lot more interest. According to Premier's own web site, their print distribution for May 2009 was just over 26,000. Online subscriptions almost 28,000. And web site visitors were over 371,000. That's a LOT of people that are going to be made aware of us in a short time! People get ready…there's a train a'comin…
2000 by Labor Day. Quote me on that.
2,000 was the number I had in mind as well.
949 as of today.
Don,
You probably already know this, but you can do an advanced search by clicking on the 'members' tab
and typing the state name into the search field.

How come you people have labor day in September and not on the first of May like the rest of the world does?
Is there some historical story behind this, or did some president just make it up?
Here is the history:

For the US Labor Day (first Monday in September), check out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Labor_Day
For the 1 May Labour Day check out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Labour_Day

Best regards, Willie
Because May 1 is May Day and we are outside dancing around silly poles!

Ahh, We don't do that anymore, do we. Or is it we puit flowers on some girls porch, knock on the door and run? Nah we don't do that anymore either.
