Junk Music

OK, so I've been using a lot of found object - or junk - musical instruments to support my cigar box guitars recently. (You can hear examples of this on my page at Cigarbox Nation.)

So, I went looking for other junk music out there... found stuff like this - a less

Doc:

Am I misremembering, or did you once have a how to play cbg video up on one of your websites. I think i remember at least one, but am not sure that you did any more. One of the things I thought was cool was how to fret behind the slide to change the chord your are playing.

Hi Doc, in the past I have seen on your site that you made some bridges for your instruments. Would you know how to build a simple sitar bridge. I have a cigar box dulcimer that I would like to try it on.

Hello,
I have started a CBN group entitled, "How to Play CBG" It is my hope and intention to encourage the "Wealth of Talent" here on the Nation to share their knowledge and skill to further the CBG movement. Please consider contributing an instructional "video" link to this group. If you are a viewer seeking instruction, please feel free to write. If you have any suggestions or know other players who you think may want to post instructional "video" links, please contact me. Thank you for your interest and support, Keni Lee

Hey Doc can you show a close up of the headstock so we can see how you routed the strings to the underside. I want to build a new three string but use everythng one it that most people around here would think would not work. Basicly not the norm. I got one cousin who thinks you can't make music unless you have well made guitars. A guitar with picture hanger tail piece won't work, eye bolt bridge and bolt for nut won't work, upside down tuners won't work. Piezo pickup won't work, you get the idea.
Thanks Roger

Ah yes, the violin, instrument of the gentry--oops----great idea---makes you wanna go to bat for him--although he may be a bit batty, that's a good thing here, not a bat thing. So he is slugging out the national anthem (didn't sound like "O Canada"…
