Looks great! just curious, as a newbie on his 1st build....what holds the nut in place?

Probably just the tension/downforce from the strings. Some people also add a small amount of glue.

Hi Paul,

String tension, but also some people use a circular file to file a grove into the neck for the cut bolt nut. Even then, ultimately, it's string tension that holds in the nut. Same for the bridge.

Yep string tension only for me.  It's not going anywhere without forcibly moving it.  Plus if I need to move it for some reason I can without having to break the glue's hold.
