I guess I'm not a virgin anymore ... This was my first CBG build, but definitely won't be my last !

Features: All the usual stuff like a oak neck (fretted), threaded rod/nuts bridge, etc ... plus a few things that are a bit different I guess, like using bicycle chain links for individual tailpieces for each string, a nut made from a piece of aluminum L bracket, an "inlaid" Lone Star Beer bottlecap in the headstock, and sink drain strainers for the soundhole rosettes/ornamentation.

I used a standard piezo element setup, and overall the CBG sounds great. I'll definitely be building more, and making new refinements and scrounging for new ideas in the near future !

Anyway, thanks to this community for sharing plans, ideas, and kinship -

Awesome!! I like the bottle cap treatment. Welcome to the addiction.
Good job, looks really nice. Bike chain tail is neat too.
Nice Job!
Looks fantastic, great job.
That's a cool lookin' CBG! Like the Lone Star Beer cap and the bicycle chain links. Why is there a screw in the middle of the top? Not a floating top? Btw, are you Dragonfly?

Yep, that's me...

I made the neck "detachable" on this one because I wanted to do some experimenting. Works absolutely fine. I have a bunch more boxes, so I'll continue trying new ideas....you know me....never satisfied with convention !

:)

BTW - thanks for the kind words everyone !
Off topic: Andrew, thanks for your hard work on effect layouts. I've started building them thru your layouts. Nice to meet you here :-)

Glad I could help feed the addiction ! You know me.... I love just about everything DIY, so it was only a matter of time before I started building CBG's .
Nice job, I like the various touches you've incorporated.

Yeah, same for me. Started with stompboxes, then tube amps, then CBG's and who knows... 'normal' guitars?
Just recorded a quick little clip - I'm definitely digging this thing !

Yep - once you've adequately "conquered" one challenge, you want to find new ones. You still want to improve upon the "old", but the curious mind demands new fun !!!
