Fretboard Templates

Here is a zip file that contains a handful of commonly used fretboard scales. Simply print out the PDF, cut it out with scissors and tape it together so the lines match. Then tape it to your fretboard and mark the fret locations. Enjoy!

CBGs for Wounded Warriors

A while back I contacted Walter Reed Medical Center in Washington DC to see how I could go about donating some of my/our instruments to military personnel who were recovering from their injuries in the hospital. Oddly enough, their response was:

"We sincerely thank you for your sentiment and dedication in deciding to

have a positive impact on those in the Armed Services. However, upon

Number 3

Here is number 3 in my "beginner series" of CBGs.

I shortened the neck so the scale will be 24.5, but I think I am leaving it as fretless for now. The next one I make will be fretted.

Dan, I truly do not know how to say thank you for the guitar. I am more than honored by your gift. I love the photo and the story. It realy moved me. I do have to say the cbg for servicemembers is all you wonderful people, not me. I was just lucky to meet you all from it. I will post a video of me playing it later today. I am really touched my friend. You are really one of the good ones. Thanks

Hello! My name is Kevin M. Kraft, founder of the annual Kansas City Cigar Box Guitar Festival. This year's event will take place on August 26th, and once again I am accepting cigar box guitars and cigar box guitar-related donation, which will be raffled off during the festival, the proceeds to benefit Kansas City's Blues in the Schools program. If you have a guitar, accessory, CD, DVD--anything related to cigar box guitars that you would like to donate, please contact me at the Cigar Box Nation or email me at kevinmkraft@juno.com  to learn where to send it.

Thanks for you time and consideration.
