Looking for ideas on a wish list for Christmas ideas.

What are some items that have made your builds easier?

I have a good drill press and belt sander, always thought about a small table planer but maybe too rich for request to wife.

Any thoughts on what has made your shop life easier appreciated.

Hi Brent, I found that every one of my 17 Machines and countless hand power tools make my jobs easier by making it quicker, cleaner and accurate. But I did not get tham all at once.

I would suggest you look at what would make your own job easier, more acruate or faster and get that one next. Speed may not be important to you, but for me it frees me up to do more creative and rewarding tasks with hand tools.

Center finding ruler. Low cost and useful.

I'll bite. I would be ecstatic with a few more truly sharp hand tools. Small pull saws, files, rasps. A good hand plane would do my list pretty well. I'm a retired machinist and machine operator by trade. Tired of the noise. Those tools are very handy in any shop. Even if you want power tools.

Taffy and David brought up some great advise. I gotta get me one of those rulers that David mentioned as well.

 Hope that helps.

Good suggestions Ray. How about adding a precision matling square t the list?

Marking T Square

Well, David, that's cool as heck! Haven't seen that one. I could use something like that too.

A shop assistant ,,..  for some reason , I seem to keep running out of them  :-/

That makes me pucker just looking at it, Pick!.
