This 4 string the strings are way too high as they head to the bridge . They are fine towards the headstock .
ive checked tto see the neck is straight . The neck is 1/4” higher than the body. I’ve tried different bridge heights. What can I do. I’ve even thought about shimming to make the headstock side lower than the bridge side of the neck...to slope ....but it’s so weird...never had an issue this far off. If I change the bridge height the headstock side frets are touching the frets and it’s non playable . It’s a through the body neck. Here’s the rising up of strings photo although ...the description says it all...any advice ?
for some reason I can only reply here ....I’ve posted another add discussion sorry about that. I’ll try again tmw.

You may need to raise the height at the nut then lower the bridge. I set the clearance between the strings and the first fret at the thickness of a dime and at the last fret at the box a quarter and a dime thickness. I am not a great player, learning, but these heights work good for me.
Hi Jon, I feel the ideal bridge height would be around 1/2 " to 5/8" on my CB guitars. I then set a back angle to the neck, if needed, that gives me the action I need at the twelfth fret and at the nut. I'm not shore how thick a coin is, I always use a feeler gauge, or eyeball it. The measurements are from the top of the fret to the underside of the string, with a feeler gauge.
The only way I can imagine lowering the bridge/string effecting nut end height to that degree, is if the strings at the bridge end where waaay too high to start with or the strings waaay to close to the first fret to start with.
An example may be, lowering the strings at the bridge by 1/8" on a 25" scale would lower the string at the nut end a miniscule amount, maybe 5000ths of a inch.
Have you got a side one photo that shows the string projection from nut to bridge. Sorry not much help.
Taff
Maybe a few more pics from a better angle? Side view with it laying flat?

If I lower the bridge the strings hit the frets and there’s no playability ....a shim would make a difference but there should not be this huge of a discrepancy?
This is a zero fret guitar if that makes a difference ...the zero fret is a larger fret and higher than the other frets...this shouldn’t be an issue as the height is fine by the nut....it has to be something else ...Once again sorry for the strange way this post came out. I did look at the angle of the neck and it’s straight to the box and 1/4 higher at the neck to box....there’s something simply wrong but this has never happened???
Jon, a pic of the whole guitar from a level side view, it’s a little hard to see what’s going on with those three fragments? :) oh, and click on the “HTML Editor” before you click on the “Add Reply” button, this will make your comments show up?
Thanks I’ll try a much wider expansive view tomorrow ...or later if possible ...it’s a passionate CBg I had a difficult time after my dog passed ...just tying to finish it up ...sometimes it’s that way
