That Fouke industrial baritone lap vid gave me an idea. How a bout a hybrid? Similar design, but either aluminum rails/frame with hardwood top/bottom, or reversed, wood rails/frame, aluminum top/bottom.
This obsession is getting out of hand...

Sorry James! There are no rule in CBGs. If you have an idea and can work out the bugs, just do it! There is reportedly someone here who put electronics and strings on a cinder block and played it!
