Also curious, in a busking set up, how a stomp would sound through something like a Boss Katana Mini or a pignose. Extra battery powered amp.

Hi, I've mounted the guitar style EQ's into a small pedal size box, you can then use it for whatever you wish.

like Pick said a bit earlier, its best to use a amp/speaker that can handle that sort of input without self distructing . I think the smaller the speaker the less like a kick drum is the sound. For me the deeper the sound the better.

funny you say that, one of the images i found on the google search had a boss EQ pedal built into the bottom of the box..

Any box you find that you can tap your foot on is your DIY kit.  solder a piezo to a jack and glue the disk to the inside and you're done.  you can even get the pre-made piezo with jack from gitty.

Do a Google search and you'll find a whole bunch of stompbox kits. Stewmac sells them, Seymour Duncan, Small Bear Electronics, DIY Stompboxes and on and on.

3 very simple effects would be a Gitty Acoustic Preamp with EQ and the Gitty Psycho Knob put in a stopbox or cigar box. Use the EQ to customize your tone, use the preamp for a Boost effect and all the Overdrive/Distortion you need with the Psycho Knob.

I believe he was talking about a (foot) stompbox not a guitar stompbox, I thought Shane was making & selling these at one time? Ez peezy: take a box, drill a hole for a jack & secure a pickup inside. IMO bass pickups really prevails over piezo if u want volume & fuller tone
