Thanks much, AGP!  The Blues Brothers did a nice version as well!

"Well Done Rev", I'm a big favourite of the Duane Eddy version, but also like all the many other recordings from Burl Ives, Vaughn Monroe etc. etc.,.........................................................

Rob - thanks!  Not sure which version this was!

Jim_in_Tuscon - I do like how the toothpick frets work!  And it is sort of amazing that they do!   Perfect soundhole on a M*A*S*H gitty!

Ghost Riders is one of my favorite Johnny Cash songs.

 Great Job.

Gary, easy one: I put in a coupla' buttes and a couple of mesas.
(I hope that clarifies it for you. :D)
“Cowboy, change your ways today, or with us you will ride!”

Incidentally, I've made a few toothpick-fretted cbgs; I think they're great. They're easy to do, and they work well. I'm guessing prospective, paying customers would hafta dig the funkiness, however.

By the way, Jim (in Tuscon), that a beaute!   (Or maybe it's a mesa?)

Thanks all!  Yeah, I'm think the right can would easily lend itself to a 3-string canjo!   Richard, I was recently introduced to the toothpick fret concept by Rob Hillbilly Ingram and Merrin Mourning (SkeletonKey Guitars) at a guitar show in Springfield, MO.  I can attest to them on canjos - they'd most likely work in conventional CBGs as well, but I may stay with metal frets for those, at least for the time being.

Jim - I'm still WAY intimidated by the prospect of singing while I play!   At least for posted videos!
