Wow we have some major disagreements here. : ) Out of all you listed Whitney Houston is the only technical singer. The first three are definitely good. Aquilera is a yodeler and relies on body parts to make up for the talent she doesn't have. Olivia> Like a tree full of cadidids. Or a screech owl.

I had thought about starting a thread on vocal health and some techniques. Reluctant because I'm not sure how it would be taken here. Be me trying to convince folks learning to breath wont change the way you sing. Just how your throat feels at the end of a long night of wailing. Guess i could start two threads. One on vocal health. The other for those who want to fall in love with their own voices. Turn everyone into Divas and watch the drama start. : )

Cause I'd love to learn how to sing properly - at home I can go for hours but up on a stage I can't even usually hear myself and after 40mins hoarse and gasping for a pint of anything...all the rules I learnt during years of acting go out of the window, but having a lot of fun ;-)

I still sound like a strangled cat in a sawmill...

Can o worms? Na. I fI can help someone keep sining till they die of old age. If I can help someone go from wimpy to BB King awesome it's worth the effort. And besides if someone doesn't wan to know they don't have to read. Remember. Once you know there's no unknowing. : )
