I take that it is a single coil. You might try some sort of sheilding...but I am not sure that will cut it....hate to say this, but did it come from japan? I ordered one of those 3 dollar pups from japan from ebay, and it is microphonic big time....it has a lot do with how the pup is made and how it is wound....it could have been something to do with thier magnetic poles, they might not have dipped it in a kind of poly erythane (can't spell).....or wax potted...that helps a lot to do with extra noise as well. You are geting a lot of hum sounds like, a lot of the early pups had that problem, that is why they made the "humbucker" to buck the hum of a single coil. The two pups wired together you don't get that really bad hum....sounds good in some cases, sounds bad in others....I really don't mind it....sounds good and dirty to me. In a pinch ( and I could be totally wrong) but you could try some tin foil around the wireing, or some electiral tape, or just check the conections to see if it needs grounded somewhere, you might be able to jump a wire from one of the prongs on the jack to a left over wire on one of the knobs...it's worth a shot....I could also be wrong on this, it's been a while since I have messed with any pick ups. I do know when I made my peizo harmonica mic, I was geting a really bad hum, I was touching some of the conections, and turns out I needed to ground the jack, so I just added an extra peice of wire from the jack to the metal peice I used for my harmonica holder....no more hum.
I had the same problem. It's not to do with lack of shielding but mechanical problems with contacts in the pots. I found if you wind the pots back and forward several times it seems to settle down - in other words, they improve with use. I still think they are exceptional value and ideal for CBGs. crackle pots? dirty pots? use electrical contact cleaner.
If it is one of these types

have you earthed the strings? (people run a wire to the common ground from the bridge - assuming it is a metal bridge)
