I made those from 3/32 sheet aluminum, the kind one might find at a craft store, it comes in 10x4'' sheets and is good for 4 to 6 tail pieces. First time i tried it this way, i like it, and will do some more.... Got a chance to look through yur pics, you have some cool build in here.

My tutorial was for bolt on neck in general... would work for 3,4,6 stringers.

The problem with a short box is.... it's a short box.... you either keep the box and build a neck to fit (longer neck), You keep the box and shorten the scale lenth (25 1/2 to 24 or less) or, you get creative, extend a tailpiece to mount the bridge too.

If you are recycling a factory neck the last opetion is the only one you have... unless you give up on the box and get a different one.

I prefer buildingmy own necks, but there's the options..

I really like that build and play it regularly. Although I'm trying to learn to play a UKE at present I still like the ease of plucking along in dulci fretting. The neck is off a strat copy and the sound holes are large grommets for curtains bought from this UK company

I have seen similar ones in UK shops selling curtains so you should find similar in the USA.
