I am entering searches in the box and I am getting the following:

Our apologies - we couldn't find any discussions matching your search.

Suggestions:

  • Make sure all words are spelled correctly
  • Try different or more general keywords                                                                                                                                                I Know I have found things on here and I am going back to re read or look for new stuff Is it me or what? Is anybody getting this or is it just me? I enter F holes and I am getting this. What quit? How do I fix it. I want my first build to go well and the people here know what to do when and how to do it. I need this fixed if it is on my end.

I tried with Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox. Just more info don't know why browser should matter, it is site engine I am ahving trouble with.

I noticed the same thing and called in a support ticket to Ning. Haven't heard back from them yet.

It could be that it doesn't recognize F as a word. Try sound holes, maybe that will work. I put in cookie tin, and nothing, but put in tin, and every post with it comes up.

I was trying to get responses from other people to see if they are having the same problem I am having and I got 1 response saying they were. I was trying to see if it was me or everybody.  I used the term f holes, as I was looking at the term in the context of a post at the time. I had used f holes before and got results. If I enter fretsaw in the search box on the discussion board and don't get 50 dozen results there is something wrong and it is still wrong. (As in ain't been fixed) I like to read past answers to questions already posed. Each one is a "brush stroke" to help paint a" big picture". Personally I feel it shows more interest in what you are trying to do and keeps the same questions from being asked repetitively. Most folks on this board don't mind helping but it demonstrates on your part that you are trying to learn.

Yes, I agree with that. Just joined in May, and don't want to ask questions, with others thinking, "he is dumb as a rock" attitude. Have been trying to read the site also, to get both knowledge and ideas along the way. May just be about ready to tackle the first one. Good luck in your pursuit of info.

Hi,

Is anybody else still having problems with the search function?

I have tried using Internet Explorer, Chrome and Mozilla (and Safari on my ipad) but keep getting the "our apologies....." response.

Any ideas on how to solve this would be greatly appreciated.

Huh. It's working for me as well as it ever did ( which was OK, I guess; I could usually find stuff), using Safari on the iPad. I only ever use the Search box at top right.

The search function using the box at the top right of the home page seems to work. The search box within the forum area does NOT appear to work, and does not return any replies regardless of the words you search for. I called Ning Support a week or so ago, but never heard back from them. I have submitted another support ticket.

Thank you for the quick reply Ron and Dan - Top right on the home page is working :0)
