Ok I have all 3 pick ups, electric, piezo, and a resonator guitar and want vocals in 1 amp...I've been looking at acoustic amps because of the mic and guitar inputs.. they are light but just wonder what they would sound like with a full blown distorted CBG Electric pickup... Then there is the standard Amp which I have and also have a yamaha mixer, then there is the Key Board amp which I understand can take any thing, any where, any time but are heavy... any advice other then to learn to play... that's also on my list... Thanks

BUMP...

the pignose is buy far best for the buck!

I love my little roland cube amp for all of the above. Great tone - not bad tone even using a piezo pickup without a preamp. You could buy one for instruments and another for vocals. Or, Roland makes a busker amp - I think its called a roland cube street.

As for learning to play, well I'm still trying and learning. Let your ears and soul be your guide.

Hope this gives you some direction,

Wade

I use a Marshall ASD50D for studio and playing live - it has two channels for guitar and/or vocals, and feedback control knob/switches for use with piezos...it is about the size of a small suitacase and easy to carry around, and sounds brilliant! (-:

Thanks Guys.. Helps a lot...

I have a cigar box amp I bought here from Gitty and it is fine.

I have a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe for my Start and it is fine.

I recently bought a Line 6 Spider IV 75, and it is way cool.

Roland Stereo Mobile Cube. Can play guitar, mic and keyboards through it all at once. Batteries or wall wart. Built in effects. $180 street, available at GC. I love mine; it is my go-to practice amp.

we are Ice Bob and the Cubeswe use a micro cube and a micro bass cube pluged into our PA with a subwoofer id like a street cube for vocals the bass cube was not loud enough so we put it in a washtub to project it wow!!!  got a cheap bass practice amp that aint loud enough with out farting out use a washtub

My favorite amp is the Vox Pathfinder, but if you want to run vocals and guitar in one, you're going to want an amp with two preamp channels or just two cheap amps.

I think Feist uses a Pathfinder for her vocals.

Also, if you do go that route, I suggest removing the clipping LEDs in the amp to clean it up a bit for your vocals.

I use a Fender Acoustisonic 150. It has two channels - one totally clean hi-fi for your acoustic, the other with the options of clean, "blackface", "tweed" or "British". The three emulation channels get progressively more overdriven. Both channels have digital effects (chorus, rotary, reverb, echo, etc) which are quite usable, if not infinitely adjustable.

It's got plenty of loud in it, too. Run vocals through the acoustic channel, CBG through the amp emulation channel, and you'll have all you need.
