If he were any good, he'd be using a Mojobone slide. BONE/WOOD. Not that glass and/or metal kiddie stuff...

Bluegrass slide version of "Crossroads?" Dual glass and metal slides? Well, yeah, obviously, the guy can play...impressive.

    The tone is in the bone, unlike a commercial made slide where it`s perfectly round, my slides have ridges and flats spots to give different sounds from the same slide. Plus the wood gives a warmer sound, great for acoustic players. C.B. Gitty has just posted my new batch of slides for 2012, check em out.

Linda was playing washboard today and wished for some thimbles.  Instead, she picked up a couple of metal slides.  Heck they worked great on washboard for tapping and doing the percussive up-rub!   A bonus for metal.  

Still, I prefer my ceramic slide- light and good sounding.
