Thanks Dani and Bear. The neck did start to bend like I expected. That's why I planned it strictly as a slide git since the action height can be as high as you want and doesn't have to be perfectly in line with the neck like you'd need for fretting.

Jim, I'm taking seconds! I was thinking this Fourth of July people will be gathering in groups of family and friends, what a great sing-a-long song for everyone to join in and sing! Definitely a tune worth finishing. Love those spur of the moment ones. I try to do the plumbing within my limited abilities and then call in an expert when things get real messy :)
