"My dad would have turned 100 this year if he were still with us. Sadly he passed away in 1979. One of my strongest memories of him was when he would wake up the family singing an old german hymn called "Wachet Auf"(literally wake up!)…"

What do you find most interesting about cigar box guitars? (If you do not enter something meaningful here (at least one sentence long), your membership may be rejected as a spam/bot fake account).
I've been playing guitar and organ for 35 years but only started making instruments in 2020 during a month's leave from work. Went to school for cabinetmaking a few years back which came in handy! It's so much more satisfying and adds a new dimension to fiddle about on instruments you've made yourself. Better than buying things from a shop or the internet. And a different way to appreciate craftsmanship.
