Just added some photos of my latest cbg which I call my "special". Have a look at my page to see them. I bought the box for 50 pence on a car boot sale. Inside it were a pair of dice and a plastic skeletor model. I've incorprated his head into the design and a slice of one dice is used as a small pick. The guitar became the special when I decided to incorproate the beautiful JuJu pick-up that I won at the Birm Fest - if you're reading this mate, thanks, it's lovely. It has a piezo as well. Nut and saddles are made from real bone blanks that Randy gave me with the bone slide I bought. Tailpiece is an old cupboar door hinge. I added a vol control and the knob is the case from a flourecent light starter. Strap is a lovely well worn leather dog lead (car boot 20p). Frets fitted too. This is by far my best to date and will forever reamain a "keeper". I love it. Hopefully do a vid for Youtube soon.

Alright gents, I'm new around these parts but came across you guys the other day. I've built one CBG mainly using an old neck from a Squire, a bit of pine, a stanley knife and rather a lot of beer.

When I was browsing I saw the comment from Kevin about supplies and thought I'd join up and post. I've been fiddling with guitars for a while now and I've found that the good places for UK supplies are Touchstone Tonewoods, David Dyke, Craft Supplies and Axes R Us. Hopefully this can help you all out. In the meantime I'm going to go looking around the site.

Good find smojo its a different make i think but it looks the same i did not pay for mine but stewmac was about £40 but this one looks a great bargain like everyone else i used a gentelmans saw or for those who live in scotland they might have heard of bills tool store in the barrows these guys have lots of great stuff and cheap they sold me a saw for£5 for my frets and they called it a jewellers saw it was a good we saw but the steel was a bit floppy were as this new one is very solid i tried to put a guide on my last one and ended up making a mess of it but no worries now with my new one which will be getting a full fret treatment this weekend i have a peice of cherry for a neck and curly maple for the fret board hopefully it will turn out ok anyone out there thinking of buying one of these i would recomend easy peasy

yep i have that same fret saw from toneteck no conplaints so fare from me!
