I have just got a batch of 40mm x 20mm maple for making necks - seem to be a good balance weight-wise and it's a nice wood to work with. Just finishing off a uke sized cbg for my g/f and a full size one to sell - made my second diddley bo this week too which I will be testing later today. Once you get hooked....!
