Extravaganza 09 Huntsville

Wow! I just have to say, I was blown away at the comraddery among fellow cigar box enthusiests that I witnessed yesterday in Huntsville. It was great to see so many like minded people mingling and having a great time hanging out together. Being a newbie on the block, I really did not know what to expect. I was in the hall, showing some of my instruments, and later in the night, myself, Bruce Andrews and my brother, George Dudley, who were demoing the steels were asked to fill in about 30 minutes of down time in the theater. Your response was mindblowing! You guys humbled us! Thank you for a great time. Jack

Couldn't make it again this year - that's two years in a row. Gotta get there next year.

You guys were the surprise hit of the evening. Awesome performance. I want to thank you very much for helping us fill the gap and I hope you'll consider coming back next year as a scheduled performer.

I want to thank everyone for making The Cigar Box Guitar Extravaganza 2009 was a success. Moving the show indoors proved a wise choice and the lowered production costs resulted in better pay for the musicians than in previous years. Every act was outstanding, crowd response was fantastic, and everyone in attendance seemed to have a great time.

My wife, daughter, and I had a great time at the Extravaganza. We didn't arrive for the screening of "Songs Inside The Box" as intended due to a 1.5 hour traffic delay caused by a horrible accident on Interstate 65 north of Birmingham. I ran around at the Extravaganza with a video camera and will post some video as time permits. It was good to see old friends again and meet new ones!

This was my first Extravangaza, and y'all know I'll be back next year!! I'd be great to do a couple or three songs, but I know I couldn't match the talent I saw this year! Met alot of nice peoples, 'cause I guess we're all in this together...
