Howdy, I've been pickin a lotta years on regular guitar. I'd like to think I have a good touch. My GBG I can't keep in tune no mater what I do.

This is a zero fretted instrument that plays so good on the fretboard it's actually a little hard to play slide. I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it but I thought I'd throw it out there. It has action like my telecaster does.

I didn't build this it was a gift but it's a nice instrument. Anyone have any tips?

Cool beans, that really sounds like it makes sense. I don't know why it never occurred to me to move the bridge like I would on other stringed instruments. I'll give that a try here in a few minutes. Thank you for your input!

FYI?

I tried that but it didn't work for me unfortunately. I don't think the platform this is hosted with is actively developed any longer.

Yep, this is a dinosaur compared to others, but it’s ours & we’re not giving up anytime soon  :)

Don't think that you can play slide, if the strings aren't raised up. But without pictures, so that one can see, from the side of the neck thru to the bridge, that we can give an honest answers. there is a difference between one set up to just coed and pick, versus one built to play slide. When you try playing slide, are you hearing the slide clicking on the frets? If so, the strings need to be higher.

Ok lets see if I can get the pictures to work this time. If not I'll post them to my Google drive again. The action is really low. I'm thinking of placing a bolt in front of the Zero fret.

If the builder is local, then maybe you can have them resolve your issue? Floating bridges do walk around a bit, depending on the break angle of the strings coming from the tailpiece, less angle- less tension holding the bridge down? A few drops of clear glue can keep it from moving?

I’m using iOS & android from 2 tablets & an iPhone, with no problem, what are you using?

I give up on the images, they did upload to the Ning database but the forum wont retrieve them. They are located here:

If you put a bolt in front of the zero-fret, your scale length will be off along with the intonation?

I'm using MAC OS with Chrome.

I was hoping the floating bridge could be moved a little bit to compensate for the intonation. I'm no expert though, I just have other instruments I think this would work on. Is there a different way to raise the action?
