This could be git related or not. So, what's on your workbench at the moment?

I have 4 scarf joint necks in different stages of work.

A 25" scale pine 5 string neck for a Banjo-Res, A 25" scale Red Oak neck for my 6 string Strat-Res build, A 24 & 1/2" scale Red Oak neck for my 6 string Double Cut Tele build and a 27" scale 6 string Baritone Conversion neck for a Modern Strat body I have.

Just finishing up a CB Uke for my oldest daughter.  I bought the strings, feet wire, and grommet from Gitty, the rest is stuff I've scrounged here and there.  Walnut neck, Corian countertop sample for bridge and nut.  Sounds pretty decent unplugged, may still add a piezo though.

My apologies, photo didn't come through

That really looks nice MadGomer.

I just started building a CB Gitty Mountain Tenor kit. I'm gonna add a few of my own touches, but the kit seems pretty well designed.

That kit looks like it's made well.

Honestly, it's pretty well thought out. This is my second CB Gitty kit. The first was the Tin Pan Alley. I received this one as a birthday present.

Update on my fixes. Decided against a tone pot for the Glider. It really does need one. For now I can control the harshness with a graphic EQ pedal. Opened up Rusty. I used aluminum foil as a cavity shield. Some of this had come loose. In contact with the five way switch. In this configuration this switch doesn't need a ground. This was causing some of the issues. Go back a bit and explain the wiring. The bridge pickup has it's own volume pot. Mid and Neck share. One master tone. I can add bridge to the neck just by turning up it's volume pot. Can do the same in the neck position. In positions two and four I can have all three pickups on. All kinds of great sounds with all kinds of problems. My fault. I didn't use 0 load pots. So what happens is there will always be neck in the bridge position. And when the neck mid volume is off it turns everything off. Weird things are happening in positions two and four. Not sure what. So I'll leave this like it is. Because I'm still getting great sound from positions 1, 3, and 5. Will still need to get the bridge moved.

Usual Strat wiring has neck on 1 tone and middle on the other tone while bridge is no tone. That makes the Strat bridge very bright and a bit thin tone wise. Many like it that way, many don't and there's a bagillion wiring mods out there. One of the most common is putting the bridge on it's own volume to turn on with the neck or neck/middle combo and some link both middle/bridge to the second tone pot. Lots of possibilities.

No Load pots are a good option for that extra boost.

Hope you get it all sorted and enjoy.

Nice one Fantacone.

I finished the CB Gitty Mountain Tenor Kit last week...

...but I just started my first electric washboard build. :-D

Kool! I just found one o’ my forgotten washboards in my parents rafters recently, been there since 85’ My mom, bless her heart, gave it to me for Xmas one year, still looks new? Looking forward to your progress?
