banjo, lap Steel Lost and Found

Hi, I had a pleasant surprise this morning whilst looking through plastic storage containers for some tonewood for a new build [acoustic guitar]. I came across this partly finished wood top banjo and solid body Lap Steel guitar. These will be projects for 2019. Both are the second one of a pair I started a couple of years ago, I finished one and forgot the other due to other work.

You inspired me to go through my guitar supply closet.
Damn, I didn't find anything but a bunch of 0.056" wound strings that will never be used unless I take up deep sea fishing and some wooden cigar box inserts that I've never found a good use for. Some guys have all the luck and most are like me.
