Hello,

I spend too many hours searching on www.ebay.com, but being a flea market fan, I am addicted to this virtual marketplace. I have found many wonderful instruments over the years, but even though, I am not buying like I would in the past, I still enjoy the hunt.
So, I thought I would post active auction of item that might interest my friends.
Unfortunately, I cannot remove the posts, so please start with the most current post to view current auction items.
Considering many of you have gained good building skills from making CBGs, refurbishing vintage instruments could be a very lucrative next step.

Please feel free to add a link if you want to share. Enjoy, Keni Lee

At 51 years old , I've had "lots' of guitars come and go . And just after I kick "myself" in the pants each day , I'm still out there with my eyes peeled . When I was !7 , I bought a 75' Strat for 150 "muchos" . A couple years later , when "transistor" amps were the rage , I found a 1960's , small letter , gold piping , 100 watts for ,..Yep ,.. Marshall head, same price ,.. A one hundred and fifty bucks !!! WEE HAA !!! I still got "em . But now with high tech communicatio , It almost kinda reminds me of the housing bubble . Inflated prices . Good and bad . My "best" luck has been "face to face" , word of mouth , and as one person on the thread mentioned "local shops" . Just my opinion . I paid 50 dollars for this Instrument . She (He) , plays , "smooth as butter" , and stays in tune . Charango . The tuners been replaced long ago . Original "tapered peg holes" are evident" . I don't know whether to sell it or take it to the pound !!!

Thank you for sharing. I came across 2112jefferson too while treasure hunting. I was amazed at his inventory. If he is a picker that does not know a lot about guitars is hard to believe. I wonder if this is a large sell off of a private collection? I guess we will see, if more guitars keep getting posted. Regardless, definitely some nice stuff. Enjoy.

Thank you for sharing Iggy. I often see men playing the Kora on the subway platforms in NYC. A wonderful harp instrument that is tuned by moving leather bands (strings runs underneath them) wrapped around the poles, up and down to get the correct pitch. Very primative tuners. I am amazed that it works and stays in tune. Enjoy
