Welcome to it turtlehead. After lots of trial and error I found the trick to making them play easy is to thin out the long skinny portion of the handle so they'll be flexible.

You ain't no idiot Unc. I did the same dishing out on my first set and then my friend showed me his and I stole his design which he stole from somewhere. Oh, the whirlygig sits on the woodstove and twirls when it's hot thanks to a bi-metal strip that generates a small current. Circulates heat with no electricity.

Nice! I made 2 sets and dished them out like a regular eating spoon. I'm an idiot. That took a ton of sanding. Yours are easier and quicker and sound as good. Plus you can play them.
Gonna make me some Jim style spoons!
