Yup pick, I think Americana also includes Canadiana! I'm pretty sure most of the same groups would have settled along with their instruments up there too. A couple of my friends make regular pilgramages to Cape Breton to learn from the fiddlers around there.

Yeah Dave I've seen some old ones that only had a single string there. It changes the sound a little but still sounds like a dulcimer.

A good entertainment center at that. Mine just has three strings. The noter string is single. I could cram another tuner in but I don't mind 3 strings.

Yup, Dave, I don't think there's a clean line between the two instruments and I'm likely gonna replace the frets with full ones since I'm more comfortable with them.

I guess I have a Tennessee Music Box as my dulcimer is rectangular? Nifty. I like it better. I have full length frets but it still plays good with feather and noter. I liked seeing your gear and playing.
